Olly Murs teams up with Demi Lovato in the official visual for "Up". The song is about giving your lover a second chance and was written by Wayne Hector, Daniel Davidsen, Maegan Cottone, Peter Wallevik and Mich Hansen. The soaring ballad was produced by Cutfather, Daniel Davidsen and Peter Wallevik. It marks the very first collaboration between the 30-year-old 2009 X Factor UK runner-up and the 22-year-old American singer/actress. The track serves as the second single taken from Olly Murs' number 1 fourth studio album 'Never Been Better', released on November 24, 2014 in the United Kingdom via Epic Records. It is also featured on the deluxe version of Demi Lovato's fourth studio album, 'Demi'.
The emotionally-charged music video was directed by brothers Ben and Gabe Turner. In the clip Olly Murs and Demi Lovato play a couple after a fight. They are standing in two dimly-lit rooms separated by a brick wall, which seems to represent their hurt feelings. Every single aspect of those rooms, including the hanging light fixtures, the furniture, piled-up books, lamps, picture frames and even electric guitars mirror each other perfectly. Even the artists themselves wreck their respective abodes in the very same fashion and at the very same time. Eventually, Olly uses his electric guitar to break through the wall and together with Demi, they hastily start to remove the remaining bricks in the wall in order to apologize to each other face-to-face.
