Abel Tesfaye, better known by his stage name The Weeknd, returns with an explosive visual for his chart-topping hit single "The Hills". The song was written by the 25-year-old Canadian R&B sensation together with Ahmad Balshe, Emmanuel Nickerson and Carlo Montagnese. The track was produced by Illangelo (Carlo Montagnese), Mano and Cameron Walker. "The Hills" serves as the second single from The Weeknd's second studio album, 'Beauty Behind the Madness', released on August 28, 2015,by XO and Republic Records.
The Grant Singer-directed music video was produced by Nathan Scherrer and begins with The Weeknd and two young women getting out of a wrecked car that has flipped over. The car explodes and the singer leaves his companions behind and walks down the street towards a mysterious mansion, occupied by an old white man. Surprisingly, The Weeknd's girfriends are also there.
