French DJ and producer, David Guetta takes his party crew to the desert in the official visual for his brand-new single "Hey Mama" featuring sirens Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha and fellow Dutch DJ, Afrojack. The song was written by David Guetta, Nicki Minaj (real name Onika Maraj), Giorgio Tuinfort, Afrojack (real name Nick van de Wall), Ester Dean, Bebe Rexha and Sean Douglas. The EDM-meets-trap track was produced by David Guetta, Afrojack and Giorgio Tuinfort and serves as the fourth single from Guetta's sixth studio album, 'Listen', released on November 21, 2014 via What A Music and Parlophone Records. "Hey Mama" features vocals from Trini-born Nicki Minaj, who both sings and raps while Albanian-American Bebe Rexha sings the chorus. The track also prominently samples a folk song called "Rosie" sung by a group of convicts recorded by Alan Lomax on Parchman Farm, Mississippi between 1947 and 1948.
The Hannah Lux Davis-directed music video shows a crazy rave in the desert with David Guetta, Afrojack and Bebe Rexha riding on ATVs followed by a tribal dance crew that puts quite a show involving blockbuster effects straight out of Mad Max. Nicki Minaj is the true highlight of the clip as she brings back her pink wig and appears as a deity in the form of a holographic mirage watching over the party.
